APIIT Advisor: Dr Andy Seddon (3rd Dan WTF)

Dr Seddon has been involved in Taekwondo in the UK for 13 years, a relatively short time in comparison to the rest of the committee but in that time he has built up a number of contacts through his work overseas through Staffordshire University. He travelled regularly to Malaysia and Hong Kong where he has built up friendships with local clubs, instructors and students.

He believes in promoting Taekwondo as a sport for all and has recently become involved in work with the local Sport Council representatives to enable Taekwondo to be accessible to a wider audience in the North Staffordshire area of the United Kingdom.

He was approached by the United Taekwondo Federation in the UK to become Publicity and Promotions Office for the UTA committee in 2001 and became an active member of the association helping at numerous international competitions. As well as being referee and corner judge he also participated in competition.

In August 2003 he moved to Malaysia for a period of, what was initially, twelve months. He has become more involved in the APIIT taekwondo club and is determined to help to promote the sport and to attract new members from both staff and students.

APIIT Club President: Lim Yeow Chet (3rd Dan WTF)

Yeow Chet has been involved in Taekwondo for 18 years. In this time he has trained at clubs in a number of states within Malaysia and has represented his clubs in a number of competitions.

He holds a referee qualification and has his 3rd Dan Kukkiwon certificate.

He enjoys martial arts and has been involved in a few other arts, however, taekwondo is still his preference.
